Artist in me

I am not an artist or painter, but I am fascinated with painting from my childhood. I never had a chance to go through a formal course in painting though I wanted to do. Therefore I really do not know the basics of painting; however I tried my hand at it with few paintings.
During my college days my roommate Sunil (who used to paint and sketch) and I used to complement and motivate each other to do painting. These creations we used to display our sketches/paintings on College’s soft board dedicated to ‘Art Forum’ and I was one of the members of that forum. Unfortunately those creations of mine during college days are still in college and not sure if they are still available. I would really love to take a picture of them at least if I get a chance if and when I visit my college again. But that self belief I got in college still I carried over with me till now and I tried to do try my skills again after gap many years.
I would like to mention a funny thing happened in college. I used to sign my paintings with name ‘Asha’. This had created lot of curiosity among students as to who is the real person..? Since there wasn’t any ‘Asha’ in my Class J. I am sure for some guys the ‘Asha’ had turned out to be a ‘Nirasha’ when they eventually discovered that it’s me J.
In college days every year I won either first or second prize in painting and drawing. This gave me some kind of self belief to think that I can do something with paint brushJ.
To do a painting it require me calm mind and full concentration but busy life in city hardly provides room for that. So 2 of my paintings below I did when my wife Savita was away, it’s not that I can’t have a calm mind if she is at home lol. But after repeated complaints from her; to prove her wrong I did 3rd painting when she was at home after J.
I did these paintings using Acrylic paints.
